Just chicken please
Every few months I get a real craving for KFC. Right now we’re riding to Peoria, IL and i’m jonesing for my next finger licking fix. To be honest KFC is better back in the UK. You walk in and its pretty much just chicken and fries. In the US there’s all these extra sides on offer like sweetcorn, mash potato and mac n cheese. Personally I find the pressure a little bit to much to handle. Once I panicked got the green beans. Big mistake. The worst bit is you can’t even get fries in most KFC’s in the USA…just potato wedges. Seriously?! Sorry…I realise I’m ranting but I’m pretty sure Obama reads this blog so I’m hoping to invoke change on a nationwide scale before our next visit.
Played a great show in Indianapolis last night. The set is sounding really tight at the moment (if I do say so myself) and we’re really excited fort the start of the Ingrid Michaelson tour on tuesday. Someone told us Ingrid is like a female version of Matt Nathanson when you meet her (i.e. down to earth, funny, a good laugh). Should be a fun couple of weeks…let the AC/DC covers commence!
We’re in Gulf Shores on saturday for a show on the beach and then we have a rare day off. If you’re in the area and you’re suddenly blinded by a bright white light in the distance don’t panic, it’s not a nuclear explosion.. it’s the members of Scars on 45 taking their shirts off to sunbathe on the beach. Us Brits don’t tan easily, except Nova who with his polish/italian heritage fancies himself as a big of David Hasselhoff look-a-like.
This week has been a good week for tasty treats from fans. So far we’ve been given a bag full of British comforts in Omaha (tea, Cadburys etc), some amazing cookies in Kansas City and last night a fan brought us an ice box full of shrimp! Can you believe it! We have the best fans ever! Now if only I can get someone to bring a bucket of chicken…
