Throw me a fishbone!
It’s not often we get a full day off in this band. Any day without a show is usually a travel day or we do radio stuff. Not only was yesterday a day off, but the radio station put us up in this gorgeous condo on the beach in Gulf Shores! Oh yeah, and there was a women’s beach volleyball tournament on as well. It’s a hard life.
However, our weekend in paradise very nearly came...
Just chicken please
Every few months I get a real craving for KFC. Right now we’re riding to Peoria, IL and i’m jonesing for my next finger licking fix. To be honest KFC is better back in the UK. You walk in and its pretty much just chicken and fries. In the US there’s all these extra sides on offer like sweetcorn, mash potato and mac n cheese. It really feels like Ive regressed. The worst part is, I was never even allowed a bunk bed when I was young!...

Back in LA (for a day)
Every time we come to LA we stay at with our manager Steve in Pasadena. This involves the 5 members of Scars on 45 taking over his house and sleeping on sofas, pull out beds, and in my case, his 9 year old son’s bunk bed. (Don’t feel sorry for me…I love it). More often than not we all stay up till the small hours drinking vodka sodas whilst planning the band’s impending...

Chocolate factory went bust so here I am!
So, guess this is that inevitable moment when all drummers get ideas above their station and decide they should play guitar/sing/talk/do anything part from hit things… I have decided to try writing a blog about what Scars on 45 are up to.
The idea is to post as much as possible, unless it’s just “We drove 12 hours to Omaha today…Nova farted and the van didn’t smell...
